KDIC Strengthens Stakeholder Partnerships to Advance Financial System Stability
Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC) joined the Kenya Army Golf Club as a strategic partner for the Captain’s Prize Tournament. The event organized by the Kenya Army Golfers was held at the Kenya Army Golf Club, Thika Barracks, Kiambu County. The tournament brought together golfers, corporate sponsors, and invited guests, providing an opportunity to strengthen partnerships while promoting sportsmanship and corporate engagement. KDIC was represented by staff from various departments and led by the Director for Bank Resolution, David Irungu.
During the tournament, KDIC staff engaged with participants and stakeholders, showcasing the Corporation’s commitment to supporting initiatives that foster collaboration and strengthen relationships with key partners.
As a strategic partner, KDIC maintained a visible presence throughout the event, reinforcing its corporate image and demonstrating its commitment to stakeholder engagement. The tournament was successfully conducted with participation from golfers representing various organizations and institutions. The event concluded with an awards ceremony where outstanding performers in the tournament were recognized, including KDIC’s very own Wilson Kamau who won the Men Newest to Pin trophy.
Prior to the awards ceremony, David Irungu provided a brief note on the important role KDIC plays in ensuring the stability of Kenya’s financial sector. He provided a strong analogy of the Corporation, linking it with the important work that the Kenya Army does. He said that just like the army strives to ensure that our country’s safety is achieved, KDIC plays its role in protecting the hard-earned money of the Kenyan mwananchi. The award ceremony proceeded, with the golfers being recognized for their effort. KDIC was also recognized and presented with an award in appreciation of its support as one of the event’s main Sponsors.
